Present state analysis of extinct pond areas as a basis for future use optimisation
Original language description
The paper presents analyses carried out for extinct pond focused on the present land use state. Analyses were performed with use of GIS data and tools which was supported by the field survey. The results show that the most present land use type in the areas of extinct ponds is a permanent grassland. However, very different types of land use have also been identified. These include built-up areas, airports and other different types of land use. The results will be used in the definition of the methodology for the optimisation of future use of extinct pond areas as all the possible types of land use change need to be considered.
