Mechanical Properties of Aluminous Cement Paste at high Temperature

  • Original language description

The hydrated Portland cement doesn´t resist to high temperature very well. In the course of heating Portland cement loses its strength and also chemical changes take place in its mineral composition. For these reason we use composites based on aluminouscement at high temperature applications which shows much better characteristics. Experimental studies were conducted to examine mechanical properties of cement paste made from aluminous cement and reinforced by various types of fibers. During the experimental program was measured compressive strength and three-point bending strength. Specimen size of 40x40x160 mm were made from aluminous cement and used in experimental program. One series of specimen was deposited in laboratory condition and two secondon was exposed to high temperature and all mechanical properties were compared. The effect of amount of eater was also investigated, because the valued of water-cement ratio has an influence to mechanical and also rheological properties o
