Original language description
SBToolCZ belongs to the group of sustainable tools which evaluate the quality of buildings through multiple criteria from different points of view. These criteria are normalised and then weighted so they can be put together to get the final assessment represented by one number in scale from 0 to 10. The goal of SBToolCZ is to motivate people to improve their buildings to create better and healthier environment for themselves. It incorporates also qualitative and quantitative criteria together. Maxergy,on the other hand, focuses on the sustainability itself and its meaning. It is a tool that belongs to a new generation of sustainable tools and has a different approach to the build environment than SBToolCZ or any other related assessment method used nowadays (LEED, BREEAM etc.). It focuses on the sustainability of our life on the Earth itself and translates everything into one ultimate indicator which basically defines and limits our life on this planet and it is its area.
