Effectiveness of procedures dynamic relaxation method for analysis of cable structures
Result description
The aim of this paper is to compare and evaluate the effectiveness of the procedures applied in the analysis of cable structures using the dynamic relaxation. There will be compared using the method of the viscous damping and kinetic damping. Furthermore, the influence of the distribution of fictitious mass to each node in proportion to its current structure stiffness will be monitored and the effect of the conversion of mass when calculating the convergence of the solution will be monitored. Efficiencyand stability of different methods will be compared to the nine reference examples. The cable is approximated as a tension bar, a catenary and a parabolic cable element.
