Currently, there are many water tanks before its reconstruction. The paper focuses on the results of a technical audit of selected reservoirs, which have repeatedly pointed to some technical defects and deficiencies due to which could lead to deterioration of the quality of stored water. Technical condition of the water tanks and its safety can be evaluated from many aspects (statics of object, security of entrance and ventilation, surface coating, hydraulics of tanks...).
