Original language description
The effect of application of municipal sewage sludge as partial Portland cement replacement in cement based composites mix design is studied. Thermally pretreated dry sewage sludge produced in municipal wastewater treatment plant in Patras, Greece, was used. The researched materials were prepared by replacement of 10, 20, 30, 40, and 60% of cement in cement pastes composition by sludge, whereas the water/binder ratio was kept constant for all the studied mixtures.
