PROCESSING FLUID FLY ASH ALKALI ACTIVATION

  • Original language description

The paper deals with the use of fly ash whose alkaline activation is nowadays known. Problem is, however, still use fluid fly ash generated during fluidized bed combustion. In present time, it is already possible to use fluidized fly ash in the manufacture of other construction materials. The properties of these fluid fly ash, however, limit their use as an additive to concrete. Possibility is that the use of alkali-activated materials. The paper deals with research of new material based on a combination of alkaline activation of fly ash, including fluid fly ash, with other binders and additives used in the manufacture of cement concrete. There were prepared several series of samples on which were monitored basic physico-mechanical properties (density, compressive strength). There were verified various procedures for preparing these materials with regard to the elimination of negative characteristics during storage especially fluid fly ash in different environments.
