*Identification of worst case scenario
Original language description
*If we assume definitions that ''Design parameters'' are fully under the control of the designing engineer and ''Noise parameters'' are subject to variations which are unknown except for the description by means of probability distributions, then, this work aims at identification of both types that lead to the critical system state of the structure. The most critical failure types of the structure are buckling or material failure. Design and Noise parameters (both structural and loading) are modeled asrandom variables where certain parameter combinations lead to failure under proportional loading. The methodologies in this work shall be able to identify some of these worst case parameter combinations which is of essential importance in order to identify a critical system state and which yields information about the reliability of the structure.
