Experimental Measurements on Two-Span Steel-Concrete Composite Beam with Post Tensioned Slab
Original language description
Prestressing of the slab of steel-concrete composite structures has always been a very discussed topic. However a reasonable degree of prestressing, the way how the shear connection between the slab and the steel beam is realised and mostly the age of concrete in the time of prestressing and time of subsequent activation of shear connection can minimize the most of the concerned negative contribution of prestressing and gain the most of positive features that prestressing and diversity of two basic materials can bring. Deeper knowledge about this `new? type of structures can enhance the range of its use and open new possibilities in design and construction on a building site. This paper deals with measurements during a bending test up to the reaching of bearing capacity of the beam.
