Original language description
Cracking can influence the durability of concrete structures. The research laser centre which is built close to Prague is an important building, where the client required almost complete elimination of cracking in massive walls and slabs. In order to verify the concrete technology and the efficiency of reinforcement large scale elements were built before the start of construction. The strain measurements and numerical analyses were used for verification that the stresses in concrete will be small enoughthat the cracks will not appear.
