Fyzikální výzkum proudění vody na přelivech hydrotechnických staveb
Original language description
The aim of this research was to obtain characteristics of three new types of spillways and to compare them with characteristics of known and commonly used types of spillways. At first, 8 types of spillways were selected: spillway with a broad crest, spillway with a low sharp crest, spillway with a high sharp crest, ogee spillway, spillway with a inclined sharp edge, trapezoidal labyrinth weir, rectangular labyrinth weir and piano key weir type D. Once the spillway dimensions were determined, characteristics were theoretically defined according to the literature, mainly discharge of rating curves of individual spillways. Models were made at CTU water research lab. They were placed in the measuring flume width of 1 m. The spillways were tested using a uniform flow range. Water level and pressure conditions on the model crest were monitored. Characteristics of spillways obtained from these measurements were compared with theoretically derived ones.
