Frost Resistance of Cement-Fly Ash Composites
Original language description
One of the main indicators of the durability of building construction or building material is the frost resistance. This paper deals with the frost resistance of the binder in concrete, namely cement-fly ash composites. Mixtures with fly ash were compared with the reference cement paste. Substitution of fly ash was 40 and 50% by weight of cement. The specimens were subjected successively 50, 100 and 150 freeze-thaw cycles. It was a destructive type of a test for frost resistance, where the endpoint wasthe change in weight of specimens and their waste during freeze-thaw cycles.
