IMPACT OF DIFFERENT CURING PROCEDURES ON STRENGTH AND STIFFNESS CHARACTERISTICS OF COLD RECYCLED MIXES
Original language description
Curing of cold recycled mixes has been continuously assessed as an important task within the European research project COREPASOL focused on harmonization of procedures related to cold recycled pavement techniques and supported by a group of countries associated in the Conference of European Directors of Roads. This effect plays an important role for determination of performance characteristics of this type of mixes in the laboratory. During the partial study done in this project by the Czech Technical University four different mixes have been evaluated. These mixes have been based on bituminous emulsion or foamed bitumen binder and on combination of these bituminous binders together with cement (hydraulic binder) covering different variants of this group of rehabilitation techniques. At the same time six different curing procedures have been selected, which are used in some European countries, in South Africa or in Australia and represent various approaches. Specimens have been tested
