This article presents three main domain in building acoustics. The text deals with quantities expressing sound insulation in detail. It is described that the usual methods, which used for expressing of sound insulation in dependence on the frequency, arerelative complicated for most designers (amateurs in the field of acoustics). In preliminary phase of the project is needed to design appropriate material solutions. In this phase is sufficient determine the sound insulation properties of the separatingstructures, however, with sufficient accuracy. This text should help. It is focused on a simple calculation relations used to determine the weighted apparent sound reduction index.
