Effect of Loading Rate on Tensile Splitting Strength of Cementitious Composites
Original language description
This paper deals with the influence of loading rate on tensile splitting strength of concrete and fibre reinforced concrete. Although this rate is defined in the standard for testing, we can sometimes meet with a tendency to violate this regulation. Theaim of this step is usually an effort to accelerate the testing process. The paper describes the main effects of changes of loading rate and the ways, how this parameter can be taken into account. The results of tensile splitting strength at various loading rate were compared for specific types of concrete and fibre reinforced concrete. Quantification of these differences is also contained in this paper.
