  • Original language description

Recycled finely crushed brick appears to be a suitable additive to lime or cement binder in plaster mixtures. This waste material indicates good pozzolanic properties and actively takes part in the formation of chemical bonds in the materials structure. The main aim of this research is to find the appropriate mix design of plaster mixture where the next components are lime hydrate and silica sand and together to find out perspective utilization of such a waste material. Finely crushed brick originates from the production of thermal insulating brick blocks which is ecologically and economically advantageous. In this work, results of measured material parameters of plaster mixtures with different percentual replacement of binder (lime hydrate) and at thesame time of filler (silica sand) by finely crushed brick are presented. Among the studied parameters basic physical properties, mechanical properties and transport of liquid water are presented.
