Original language description
Concrete is the most frequently used material for structural elements of bridge substructure. Due to the advance in research the improved properties of concrete allow to design more slender structures. These structures are vulnerable to the impact loading as well as to the deteriorative effects (e.g. aggressive environment and cyclic loading) which should be considered during the design process of the element. The paper presents experimental program focused on the impact testing of the deteriorated concrete specimens.
