EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF FIBER MATERIAL ON FRACTURE ENERGY OF FRC
Original language description
The paper quantifies the influence of mechanical properties of fibers to the structural behavior of the fiber reinforced concrete. The effect of material characteristics and force-extension diagram of the added fibers on the force-deflection diagram of fiber reinforced concrete is studied. The investigation is based on the results of an experimental program focused on the force-deflection diagrams of fiber reinforced concrete and fibers. No direct correlation was found between the increment of the areaunder the force-deflection diagram of fiber reinforced concrete and forceextension diagram of these fibers. Nevertheless, it was proven that the tensile strength of added fibers is the decisive property influencing the post-peak behavior of fiber-reinforced concrete.
