Comparison of Crack Width Calculations According to Different Approaches
Original language description
The paper deals with calculation of crack width initiating from mechanical loads according to recommendations and derived formulas of different authors. For comparison the following recommendations were chosen: Czech standard ČSN EN 1992-1-1 including two of several considered variants of forthcoming change of national supplement, German standard DIN EN 1992-1-1, French standard NF EN 1992-1-1 with corresponding national supplements, fib Model Code for Concrete Structures 2010 and American standard ACI318-05. Standard for crack width calculations were supplemented with formulas derived from experiments: Gergely, Lutz (1968) and Oh, Kang (1987). Differences in studied approaches are compared on model examples of reinforced concrete slab loaded with bending moment. Compared parameters are thickness of concrete cover and geometrical degree of reinforcement.
