Excess moisture on almost all indoor materials leads to contamination and growth of microbes, which initiates biological degradation of materials. The service life of wooden products is usually increased by using more durable wood species or by chemicaltreatment of wood. This work is focused on the investigation of antifungal properties of nanofibre PVA textiles doped with commercially available biocides (based on Propiconazole, Tebuconazole, IPBC). Spruce samples (Picea abies Karst L.) 25 x 25 x 4 mmcovered by the nanofibre textiles, were primary intentionally infected by dry rot fungus (Serpula lacrymans) during 28 days. The durability of spruce samples significantly increased after incorporation of fungicides into the nanofibre textiles.
