Fibre Reinforced Concrete Folded Plate for Railway Lines
Original language description
Fibre reinforced concrete (FRC) is a material whose utilization in the concrete industry has been rapidly increasing recently. This paper is focused on the study of FRC use for precast folded plates offered by the company specialized in the area of concrete elements for the railway industry. Nowadays the folded plate is made of conventional reinforced concrete. The aim of the study is to verify the buildability of the modified variant of the folded plate made of self compacted fibre reinforced concrete(SCFRC) without conventional reinforcement instead of reinforced concrete. The paper describes the whole procedure for the design and manufacture of the precast element. Within the scope of work, the design and manufacturing technology of SCFRC is demonstrated, as well as the numerical analysis of fibre reinforced concrete folded plate on a nonlinear model. Three various stages of production (load cases) - dismantling, transport to the building site and intended use were analyzed. Beside
