Original language description
The aim of this paper is an assessment of the current and designed state of the combined sewer overflow (CSO) ?OK 1B Za elektrárnou? using 3D mathematical modelling in ANSYS FLUENT. This research was developed within the master thesis ?Assessment of Combined Sewer Overflow Using Computational Fluid Dynamics?. CSO in general are the key element in the sewer systems which has a significant impact on the overall water quality that is discharged from the system to the river or a similar water body. Due to the overtime changing flow rates and more demanding requirements for functionality, the number of CSOs reconstruction has been increasing. CSO ?OK 1B Za elektrárnou? is a good example of this kind of renovation. It is located on the sewer branch B as thelast CSO before waste water treatment plant in Prague. This CSO was assessed based on the mathematical model that evaluates its functionality for both current and designed state.
