Olympijské hry Rio de Janeiro 2016 - hydraulický výzkum drah pro vodní slalom

  • Original language description

This report provides an analysis and evaluation of the whitewater courses design for Olympic games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro. Main competition course will be used not only for top level sport events such as Olympic Games (Rio 2016) as well as for future World Championships or World Cups. Besides top events the course be used for other activities such as white water canoe training, rafting, rodeo, and other sports. The second training channel be used for training and education purposes for kids or beginners. Main aim of the mathematical and physical modelling (model 1 : 13) was to evaluate proposed courses from hydraulic point of view (check hydraulic features) and thus to find optimal position of the obstacles in channel with respect to design criteria which are: optimal depth in course, optimal velocities, respectation of safety criteria, different sport purposes of use. Investigations also includes the feeding lake water level problems during pumping to starting pools and courses themse
