Textile Reinforced Concrete - Application in Thin-walled Structures
Original language description
In recent years demands for efficiency and aesthetic quality of structures have increased and new technological options have been searched for this purpose. High architectural demands lead to even more subtile designs. Textile reinforced concrete (TRC) is a special type of reinforcing, which has the major advantage - the fibres are evenly distributed and fixed in a suitable position due to expected stresses. This research is focused on demonstration of TRC significant benefits, verification characteristic values of structures and failure mode. Several slabs with basalt fabric reinforcement on one or both sides were made of concrete C 40/50 and high performance concrete (HPC) for this purpose. Firstly, the fresh concrete was placed into the special horizontally oriented wooden moulds. In the next phase, the specimens were vertically casted into the forms with stretched fabric, without vibration. These precautions have proved very effective. Flexural strength and buckling tests have perf
