Preventivní ochrana před dřevokaznými houbami pomocí nanotechnologií
Original language description
Algae are simple organisms that live in many places where there is moisture and light. Their growth is usually undesirable. It is better to prevent the growth of algae, rather than later repair damaged surfaces. Preparations based on chemical compositionare used nowadays for preventive protection of structures against algae. Natural substance cinnamaldehyde is used in this experiment. Cinnamaldehyde is contained in cinnamon. Biocidal effect against wood-destroying fungi was demonstrated for cinnamon. In this experiment cinnamaldehyde were tested for its biocidal effect against algae. Cinnamaldehyde were used in two forms ? as an aqueous solution and as a nanofibrous textile containing the active ingredient. The mixture of algae commonly occurring in our conditions on the facades of buildings was used as model community.
