Numerical Simulation of Shear Cracks in the Thin-Wall Prestressed Concrete Element

Result description

This paper deals with the applied force during the test, which initiates the first crack in the thin-wall prestressed concrete element. The force from the experiment is compared with the results given by the assessment of shear cracks in the thin-wall prestressed concrete element according to the Eurocode (EC), and by the evaluating the achievement of the failure criterion recommended by CEB-FIB Model Code 2010 (MC). Further, the concrete failure criterion model that is implemented in the non-linear-analysis software ATENA Engineering 2D is used for the comparison of the test results.
