Original language description
Prestressing strands used to be protected against corrosion with a special coating, if they cannot be grouted in a prescribed time period. Such protection reduces their bond. An experimental program was focused on investigation of the effect of bond of prestressing strands on the performance of prestressed concrete beams under serviceability and ultimate load conditions.
