Original language description
This paper is concerned with the evaluation of effective properties of wood from classical micromechanical models while treating the micro-fibril angle (MFA) of cellulose as a random parameter. It is expected that the prior distribution of MFA can be obtained by comparing the estimated homogenized longitudinal modulus of wood with the corresponding counterpart found from isotropic nanoindentation. While this step is described in detail in this paper, the following step based on the Bayesian statisticaltheory to search for the posterior distribution of MFA is introduced only conceptually.
