This paper describes the designing of suitable mixtures and identifying property changes of gypsum mixtures with sand. Five mixtures were designed - one mixture without sand and four mixtures with various types of sand. Results show that sand increases the bulk density of gypsum and reduces setting time. Crushed stone worsen workability and reduces setting time more significantly than other types of sand.
