HYSTERESIS OF LIQUID MOISTURE TRANSPORT IN POROUS BUILDING MATERIALS: EXPERIMENTAL AND COMPUTATIONAL ANALYSIS
Original language description
The hysteresis of liquid moisture transport properties is investigated. At first, the moisture distribution in the specimen is determined in both absorption and desorption experiment and then various inverse approaches are applied. For the identification of moisture diffusivity in wetting phase the traditional Boltzmann-Matano method is used. Since this method is designed for the application in the absorption experiment only, a universal method using evolutionary algorithm is proposed. The evolutionary algorithms are first confronted with the results of Boltzmann-Matano treatment and then they are applied in the inverse analysis of the results from desorption experiment. In this way, the moisture diffusivity in both wetting and drying phase is determined and the hysteresis is identified.
