    RPAS in cadastral applications

  • Original language description

In the last few years, interest in the collection of data using remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) has sharply risen. RPAS has the ability to be remotely piloted or can flown by using pre-programmed flight plans or by using more complex dynamic autonomous systems. The utilization of this technology has many advantages such as the ease of handling and mobility, economical operation compared to manned planes, ability to use in hard-to-reach places, and capturing unique data using specific physical micro sensors etc. The mapping of an area can be divided into three basic steps. Obtaining available materials, surveying work, and finally the evaluation of the collected data. Possible outcomes of RPAS can be e.g. orthophoto, digital terrain model, oblique and vertical aerial photographs, video documentation etc. The testing of the possibility of using RPAS for the cadastre of real estates of the Czech Republic is the subject of this paper. When evaluating results, we compared point coordinates measured by geodetic method, GNSS technology and RPAS technology. For this purpose, a test field was created with different spacing of ground control points. The influence of ratio between sides of the test field was tested too.
