Original language description
Urban form or spatial organization of a city is a complex of features such as distances, shapes, borders and relationships between places and people. Understanding the mechanism of spatial interactions within a city is very important but also difficult to describe quantitatively due to a big amount of components should be taken into account and dynamism of processes arisen in an urban environment. In this paper we propose a tool of spatial analysis within GIS for better understanding and describing of urban form. Special attention is given to the features of urban road network, which is the main driving force in urban form development.
