    Numerical Simulations of Multilayer Cement Composites Subjected to Impact Loading

    In this paper, the issue of multilayer concrete members subjected to impact loading is studied. Impact resistance of concrete structures is dependent on parameters of the striker (such as velocity, mass and deformability) and mechanical properties of the concrete target (compressive and tensile strength, elastic modulus, etc.). The use of multilayer concrete is appropriate in case of impact loading in order to absorb high amount of kinetic energy of the striker. Numerical models in LS-DYNA software were prepared to simulate the response of sandwich concrete slabs. The influence of material properties of the core layer is described.
