  • Original language description

    Friction coefficient between prestressed slab and subsoil plays a very important role in design of prestressed slabs on grade. Therefore, deformable layers are designed under the prestressed slab on grade. Deformable layer arrangements ensure desired behaviour of prestressed slab. The arrangement of layers can affect the value of prestress losses and horizontal deformation. This paper describes the results of experimental estimation of friction coefficient for three layer arrangements under the slab on grade.
