Blocks of flats were refurbished with the addition of thermal insulation to the external walls in the Czech Republic in the 1990s. The research is focused on surface treatment of external insulation applied to the walls of blocks of flats from three locations in the CR. Insulation boards of stabilized foam polystyrene were given finish with acrylic or silicon plaster. The study compares microorganism growth on different types of plasters.
