A simplified model of travelling fire by the aid of HRR-parametric curves
Original language description
The paper reviews recently introduced analytical models of travelling fire which can reflect real behaviour of fire in buildings with missing compartmentalization. With the view to develop an easy to handle method to determine the thermal action of travelling fire for the design of structures, a parametrical model of travelling fire based on the idea of repetitious heat release rate parametric curves acting with required time offset in neighbouring parts of a structure has been developed. Keeping several shortcomings of previous models in mind, author includes pre-heating of neighbouring fields by application of far-field temperature. To assure the certain level of validity, the heat release rate parametric model of travelling fire is validated on results of full-scale test of travelling fire.
