An Additively Manufactured Modular Metamaterial Composed of a Single Cell
Original language description
Preliminary outcomes on a novel modular additive manufacturing technology are presented in this contribution. The capabilities of the proposed system to synthesize materials with conventional or meta properties are explored. Two limiting and a single mixed compositions are tested in compression in order to reveal both, global and local behaviour of the conglomerates. The experimental measurements are supported by DIC (Digital Image Correlation) observations.
