  • Original language description

    The water transport and storage parameters of a newly developed lightweight mortar were studied. The prism specimens cured 28 days in humid and stable conditions were tested and basic material parameters, sorption isotherms together with retention curves, and moisture profiles were determined. Using the Kelvin’s equation, moisture storage parameters were unified into one general moisture storage curve. Using inverse analysis of moisture profiles, moisture diffusivity as function of moisture content was calculated. The performed experiments and calculations have revealed that lightweight filler shows extremely high capacity for moisture accumulation and improvement of its hydrophobicity is difficult.
