Fully stochastic nonlinear analysis of slender reinforced concrete column
Original language description
The following paper presents nonlinear resistance assessment of a slender reinforced concrete column using commercial FEM software ATENA. Furthermore, three different approaches are used to determine design value of resistance. Firstly, most commonly used method of partial safety factors. Secondly, method ECOV (estimate of coefficient of variation), which is one of the possible options used in fib Model Code to asses design resistance of structures using nonlinear analysis. Eventually, a fully probabilistic analysis is performed using commercial software package SARA.
