Pore Structure and Hygrothermal Characteristics of HPC Based on Portland Cement – Slag Blends

  • Original language description

Three different mixtures of high performance concrete with partial replacement of Portland cement by ground granulated blast furnace slag are investigated in this paper. The research is aimed at identification of basic physical and mechanical parameters, pore structure analysis and determination of selected hygric properties with respect to water vapor transport and accumulation. The results show that using ground granulated blast furnace slag in composition of high performance concrete may be prospective and further development of such modified mixtures is therefore anticipated.
