Atlas HYDROLOGY- tool for design of erosion control measure and small water bodies in headwater catchments
Original language description
This contribution presents hydrological modelling and design water management elements in the Atlas environment. Atlas DMT allows wide range of tasks near the CAD and GIS applications. This original Czech product is used in a number of fields – land surveying, cartography, mine surveying, geology, etc. Nowadays tool for design of erosion control measure named Atlas - Hydrologie are developed. Two types of approaches for calculation of the hydrological response are implemented in the Atlas environment. The model contains the most commonly used empiric method SCS-CS with UH hygrogram. This combination allowed computation of maximal discharge and total runoff. Input data (land use and soil) are inputted to the model as .shp, or in Atlas native format. That shapes and parameters can be also edited in the Atlas environment. The morphological qualities required to determine the course of the refining process are based on the TIN DMR. Rainfall data can be directly in the environment or the can be imported from design precipitation server rain.fsv.cvut.cz The second approach in the Atlas can be used is the physically based episode model SMODERP2D. The core of the model is a raster-based cell-by-cell mass balance calculation, which includes key hydrological processes, such as effective precipitation, surface runoff and stream network routing. A new version of the GIS are as QGIS plugin , that significantly increases the accessibility of the model for research purposes and also for engineering practice. SMODERP2D are also to offered as web processing services (WPS). Atlas environment are used this WPS for data processing and computing. Data preparation are made in Atlas, also results can be visualized in this platform.
