Analysis of the Consolidation Rate of the Plaster Layer by Nanodispersions of Calcium Hydroxide and Paraloid B72 at the Premonstratensian Monastery in Teplá

  • Original language description

Among the basic goals of restoration of historical plasters are their consolidation (ie improvement of mechanical properties), when the essence is the return of the binder to the structure of the material, fill the formed cavities and heal cracks and more. Reinforcement of degraded lime plasters is carried out by consolidants, which are mostly applied in the form of solutions, eg lime water, organosilicates or, thanks to the extraordinary properties, it is also possible to look for application of lime nanosuspensions in the field of conservation. The paper deals with the stabilization, conservation and strengthening of historic plaster layers by selected agents based on hydraulic lime (so called “nanolime”) and presents partial results of the NAKI II research project focused on the experimental in-situ research of consolidation of surface plaster layers at the Premonstratensian Monastery in Teplá.
