Project management is widely used term as well as the process and method itself in plenty of fields of human being – both research and practice. On the other hand programme management which is kind of superstructure of project management is rarely being recognized in practice. A programme is a set of separate projects that are coordinated at the same time, giving the company greater efficiency and overview than management of each project separately. This paper aims to prove the current level of research on programmes and their management. This article is focused on describing the basis of programme management and it provides a critical research of the last 15 years of publishing this topic in research databases and journals.
