The application of textile reinforced lightweight aggregate concrete in ultra-thin slabs
Original language description
The paper deals with the experimental research of ultra-thin elements made of lightweight concrete with glass fibre reinforcement fixed in a mesh form. The experiments included the production of slabs and complementary unreinforced test specimens in determining the lightweight concrete material characteristics. The mixture of the used finegrained concrete contains Liapor porous aggregate. A suitable method avoids the undesirable separation of lightweight aggregates. Two types of 3D glass textiles with different mesh densities were used to reinforce the specimens. The slabs were concreted horizontally in special wooden forms. The specimens showed high strength even at low bulk density. Slabs tested in flexural strength demonstrated, after unloading, the ability to partially close cracks and reduce the resulting deflection. This fact proved that this reinforcement acts partially pre-stressed.
