Influence of Compression Pressure on Thermal Expansion, Bulk Density, and Porosity of Electroporcelain after Firing
Original language description
The influence of the compression pressure on the thermal expansion, bulk density, and porosity of electroporcelain type C 130 made under the pressures of 70 MPa, 90 MPa, and 110 MPa is studied after firing up to 1400 °C by a step of 100 °C. The mass loss and shrinkage of samples decreases with the compression pressure. The bulk density of the studied samples differs to a very little extent. At the firing temperature of 1400 °C, the lowest porosity is obtained for the sample pressed under the highest compression pressure. At 1300 °C, which is the common temperature for electroporcelain production, the lowest porosity is for the sample pressed at 90 MPa.
