Original language description
The purpose of the research was to evaluate the possibilities of using an environmental-friendly adhesive for the preparation of composite boards from rapeseed straw. Rapeseed straw surface was untreated, hydrothermally treated and treated with an alkaline solution. Bone adhesive mixed with sodium lignosulfonate in a 6:1 ratio was used as the adhesive mixture. Based on microscopic analysis of failure modes in the adhesive joints of the produced boards, it was verified that the bone adhesive modified via the addition of sodium lignosulfonate can be successfully used for the production of composite boards from rapeseed straw. The most suitable surface treatment of rapeseed straw for the chosen type of adhesive mixture is soaking rapeseed straw in 2% sodium hydroxide solution.
