Original language description
A theoretical analysis of properties of air-spaced triplets composed of thin lenses is described in this paper. The formulas for the calculation of parameters of an air-spaced triplet are derived and the procedure for the calculation of the shape of individual lenses of the triplet is described using the third-order aberration theory. The application of the described analysis is presented on an example of the design of the air-spaced triplet.
