The comprehensive analysis of floor and soffit panel designed for demountable construction systems
Original language description
Flexible building structures, designed as demountable construction systems are favorable in terms of enhanced adaptability. These easy disassembling flexible systems include also floor and soffit structures. Considering the environmental sustainability in the construction industry, there is a need to look for alternatives to the traditional materials used for the production of floor and soffit panels. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of wood agglomerate panel intended to solution of assembling structures made of a mixture of wood fiber, paper, and dispersion adhesive based on polyvinyl acetate and acrylate. The assessment of wood agglomerate panel involved experimental determination of its structural, mechanical, thermal, and hygric parameters. The analyzed panel was found to be suitable material for the energy efficient precast demountable constructions systems.
