Influence of Concrete Mix Composition on the Early Age Concrete Strength Development

  • Original language description

The paper deals with the practical use of the maturity method and deviations of its results related to concrete production. The utilisation of the maturity method in construction projects is increasing. How-ever, a detailed analysis of the influence of minor changes in a concrete mix composition and variability of the production is missing. The paper's primary goal is detailed information about deviations when using the maturity method on construction sites and possible changes in calibration curve caused by the change of concrete mix composition. The paper presents results of the extensive experimental analysis, which consist of early age concrete testing in the university laboratory, at the concrete batching plant, and on the construction site. Based on the presented results, recommendations for the successful use of the maturity method in common construction projects are proposed.
