Tvarová optimalizace a verifikace matematického modelu potrubního mixéru pomocí CFD softwaru

  • Original language description

It happens quite often that the results of CFD simulations replace experimental verification of prototypes in a laboratory. Thus, an overview of possible discrepancies between the real object and its digital model is lost. However, the necessary verification is not commonly available and often requires scientific supervision. This article describes the development of a static and dynamic pipe mixer for optimizing the dosing of chemicals into the sewage sludge before dewatering at a WWTP: from prototype design using ANSYS Fluent to plans of experimental verification in the water management hall of the Faculty of Civil Engineering CTU in Prague. Verification on the test line will be performed to determine the total pressure loss and uniformity of mixing, which is going to be determined based on conductivity fluctuations in the specific profile. Subsequently, the results of CFD simulations will be compared with the results of experimental measurements.
